Home » How is satellite radio better than FM?
Commercial radio today is bad. In between twenty minutes of commercials per hour, the DJ yakking, and the morning show that
means talk only for 4 hours, you get small playlists, and songs repeating every two or three hours on many stations. Now
imagine switching to the rock station on satellite radio... music when you want it, DJs who know the music they are
playing because they live and breathe it, and less repetition, all with no more car dealers or furniture stores telling
you about the sale of the century. You want deeper music instead of just the same old hits? Switch to stations such as The
Vault, Deep Tracks, The Loft, Sirius Disorder, and more. You want a genre non-existant on FM? Sirius and XM offer
channels dedicated to Reggae, Blues, Real Jazz (in addition to "smooth jazz"), Broadway music, Dance, and much more.
On the talk side, each service offers programming that really excels. Both offer multiple news channels, BBC World Service, one or more channels dedicated to liberal or conservative talk, family-friendly and uncensored comedy channels, ESPN Radio, and more. And in March 2004, XM and Sirius debuted traffic and weather for the top 20 markets in the country which are much more detailed than anything on regular radio. It's time to get satellite radio. You won't regret it. In fact, you'll wonder why you waited so long to switch. |
